Marlon, I have a pair of cheesy Icon jeans reinforced with Kevlar. They don't seem that robust to me and I feel like a Jason Britton wannabe so I don't wear them. Jules is spot on, you're toast during a get-off wearing this crap.
Having said that, give a gander to these jeans made in France with some super fabric called Armalith. Years ago when I was turned on to the brand I tried ordering but the web site was in French so I said fuck it. Looks like they have a link in English now.

Check out the videos and scroll down to the last one called Human Drifts. Thought it was pretty impressive.
Doh! I just checked out the Draggin' Jeans link that you provided above and they seem to be the same type of jean. Looks good dude.

No, I did not. Mine did not have the pockets for it. It would have been nice. I did get some bumps, but no roadrash. I did not slide long befor I was in the dirt along side the road, as I lowsided in a corner.

I bought some Nike pro defender stuff that was designed to go under football pads. If it helps the guys in the NFL absorb impacts you can bet your ass it will help falling off the bike! It has hip, tailbone, and knee pads. Can't even tell when there under jeans except in riding position.

Yes, they have velcro straps (BTW, they won't cut into your skin). They fit under all of my jeans. I only wear regular sized jeans BTW. None of that 3xxxl baggy drooping shit. Nobody even knows that I have them on, except me.
