Who all carries when they ride, I got ran off the road for the last time the other day and have decided to get my license to carry.

It was a intentional running me off the road when i did nothing rong the guy was yellng at me out the window

im not sayn shoot people, im sayn shoot out there tire to disable their vehicle so it cant be used as a weapon

maybe you didn't know you did something wrong, and he was yelling at you b/c you cut him off or something...?

In any event, to answer your question, I'm not strapped.

Even if you did get a concealed carry license, you can't shoot out someones tire......that would be illegal, and you then would be responsible for the improper use of a firearm.

There is almost no way you could legally shoot while riding or driving. He would have to point a gun at you. It will always be called road rage and you're screwed. Could also say you chased him. If he's chasing you and you shoot through his window, you shot at him just because he was following to close. Thats how it will be painted. I carry myself but in reality, unless you are cornered it is not an option on a bike. Short story, I was in Tucson AZ riding on the shoulder back in 98 because it was 115 Degrees and its legal so you wouldn't crack your block. Guy got pissed and followed me. I wasn't riding fast or anything but now I was running because he was trying to hit me. He chased me down the shoulder until I got cornered in traffic. He started to get out of his truck so I jumped off my bike and charged him, drop kicked the door onto his leg shattering his nee and the bones. I got off because it was self defense. But if he had a gun he might have shot me. I carrried after that. BUT, I still would not have been able to shoot while on the bike. You can't defend it.

Its easy to get in Montana. Its also ok for any one to strap one on the outside of your jacket or on your hip. I do not carry, not on my bike, not in my truck, because I would use it to shoot out a tire, but the bullet dose not care where it ends up after it hits that tire and the ground. That would make me no better than a drive by shooter.

I do carry all the time cause you never know what will happen next, but again the situation around here is way different then in the US...
...a 9mm in your hand beats every .45 caliber left at home..

I carry on longer rides , for that just in case situation. Unless completely threatened with deadly force (which may be difficult to prove without witnesses). Its best to pull to the side. If they stop and you feel your life threatened , protect yourself.

You may spend many months if not years in jail trying to prove your innocence. Avoid shooting a gun unless you plan to kill (to protect yourself ,family etc).

Its very touchy. Good luck with your decision.

if a person can articulate that they truly thought themselves or another person was in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm then deadly force may be an option. the difference in many situations is if a person who uses deadly force can make the needed articulation after the fact. i always carry but am continually rehersing senarios to be able to make a proper decision. remember we act as we train. when confronted with a deadly force encounter we always react. there is no time to think about what to do.

I also hit the road on the fastest thing out there. Clearing harms way should not be a problem on one of these things. That has always been my rule when my son and wife started riding. You HAVE to be able to go faster than anyone on the road, that does not mean you GO faster, just that you have to be able to do 130 for 15 min to the next town to get to saftey, if needed.
Guns are great. I have a valt full of them. They only come out when its time to use them. I will not carry for the day I might need one. Thats livin scard, and son, that aint livin.
